| Finn studied the bottle of tequila, tilting his head to read the label. Not that he really cared what the label said -- he just needed something to do while he waited for Kurt to come down the stairs and into the room with him. He needed something to do with his hands -- anything. He needed to be distracted. He couldn't think of the mess of a breakup with Rachel. It was too hard -- things were spiraling out of control too fast.
Not that he'd get back together with her. It was over. Done. He wasn't going to enter that line of thought anymore. He wasn't what Rachel needed. Who was he kidding? He never had been. They were just fooling themselves -- Finn didn't want the life that Rachel did. He was content to stay in Lima. He refused to allow himself to become a 'Lima Loser,' but he loved this town. Before high school and his life turning upside down, he'd never thought about leaving here -- sure, he wanted things in life, but he could do that here.
"Kurt, are you coming or what," he called up the stairs. His nerves were starting to show. Sure, he'd been drunk a million of times, but this time it was just him and Kurt. And the fights from the last few days were still heavy on his mind. But they were resolved now, and isn't that all that mattered? | |

They've had me from the Pilot when Finn offered to hold his jacket when Puck and the rest just tossed him over. Yeah, sure, he should have stopped them.
